Recently Ram Gopal Varma has said that, he has surprised to see the movie Avatar. The visual effects and technical values in that movie surprised him. He has attracted to the 3D effects in that movie. Instantly after watching that, film he has announced that, he is going to make a 3D movie.

He has announced two movies in 3D one is with John Abraham. Its an action thriller. On the other hand he is very keen to show a horror movie in 3D with the name Warning. He has opted Ritesh Deshmukh as hero to Warning.

Now another famous director Vikram Bhatt also showing interest towards this 3D movies. He is also ready to make a Horror movie in 3D. He has entitled as Yama Dwar to this film. Cast details not yet revealed. Earlier he has directed the Horror movies like Raaz, 1920 and Shaapit.

In all this movies he has shown very good visuals. Lets wait and see what he shows in Yama Dwar with 3D effects.

Phoonk 2 Is Ready To Scare The Audience

Ram Gopal Varma who has delivered a horror movie Phoonk in 2008, is ready with the sequel to it. This time he has produced the movie. Milind Gadgar has directed the film. Sudeep, Amrita Khanvilkar, Ashwini Khaelskar and Ahsaas Chenna were played the lead roles in this movie.

Its going to hit the theaters on April 9th 2010.The trailers of this movie are really promising. Story revolves around the character who was died in the first part. She returns back to take revenge on Raksha and Rajiv.

Ram Gopal Varma is very confident about the Phoonk2 success.

Phoonk 2

Phoonk failed to impress Bollywood audience. But it has bagged critical acclaim. Because of Ram Gopal Varma's business tactics it has bagged good commercial success also. Varma has announced the sequel to this film pre-release only.

After watching the movie, now one expected that, Ramuji will start the 2nd part. But Ram Gopal Varma is planning to start Phoonk 2 as soon as possible. Sudeep, Amrita Khanvilkar and Ahsaas Channa are the lead cast. They were played key roles in first part also.

Milind Gadagkar has narrated the script. Ram Gopal varma has impressed a lot with his script narration style and gave direction responsibilities also to him. On the other hand Varma has started sequel to his another horror movie Agyaat also.

Agyaat 2

Agyaat was a miserable flop at Box Office. Nitin Kumar Reddy and Nisha Kothari were paired opposite each other in that movie. Before release of that movie only Ram Gopal Varma has announced the sequel to it. Now he is ready to start the movie shooting.

According to the Bollywood circles information, Vivek Oberoi will play the lead role in Agyaat 2. With un ending climax Ram Gopal Varma disappointed every one in Agyaat. Till that movie went properly and succeed to scare the audience.

Present he is busy with Amitabh Bachchan's Rann and Phoonk 2. May be after completing those two movies he starts this horror movie. In recent interview he has said that he will release Agyaat 2 by 2010 ending. First part is copy for a Hollywood movie Predator, lets wait and see this time which movie will take new shape.

The Stoneman Murders

The Stoneman Murders was movie based on real incidents in Mumbai. Manish Gupta who has worked as writer for Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar made his debut with this movie.





Many people who are sleeping on the Mumbai footpaths were killed by an unknown person. Mumbai police men failed to catch him, still it has been a mystery. Manish Gupta has opted it as story line and narrated it in investigation style.





Sanjay (Kay Kay Menon) is a suspended police officer. He plans to catch Stoneman, is he does it, he will get his job. Police department appoints Kedar (Arbaaz Khan) to investigate the case. Both of them starts investigating in their own ways. Kedar does his job with help of police department. On the other hand Sanjay struggle a lot lack of help and with attacks from Stoneman.


When Stoneman attacks Sanjay, he notices that, Stoneman is actually belongs to police department only. He informs this news to Kamle (Virendra Saxena). But Kamle surprises Sanjay. What is that surprise and who is the Stoneman is the remaining story.

Rukshar has paired opposite Kay Kay Menon in this movie.

Kaun ?

Kaun was a Horror movie from Ram Gopal Varma. Urmila Matondkar, Manoj Bajpai and Sushant Singh were played key roles in this movie. Anurag Kashyap has penned this script. Story revolves around only three characters one among them is a serial killer.




A young woman (Urmila Matondkar) decides to spend beautiful rainy evening with her pet and watching TV. While she is enjoying with that, she hears some door rings. She notices a guy called Sameer (Manoj Bajpai). She enters into house by saying that, he heard some sounds from out side. Mean while police men informs that, a killer is there in that area. When young woman opens the door to send Sameer away, she notices a person with gun.

He introduces himself as inspector Qureshi (Sushant Singh),but he is thief. Sameer notices his real identity and fights with him. While they both are fighting, young woman catches Qureshi's gun and asks them to be quite. After some time Sameer goes to up stair and notices the dead bodies including Qureshi. Then he comes to know that, the serial killer is none other than that young girl killed. She has already killed that house owner, and staying there. She kills Sameer also and moves to another house.

Sandeep Chowta gave music to this movie. It was a very new concept. Anurag Kashyap has narrated really a fresh script.

Vaastu Shastra

Vaastu Shastra was produced by Ram Gopal Varma and was directed by Saurabh Narang. This concept was very fresh, but movie did average at box office because lack of some powerful scenes. Director indirectly said that, believe horoscopes.



Jhilmil (Sushmita Sen) and Virag (J.D.Chakravarthy) moves to their new house with their son Rohan and Virag's sister Radhika (Peeya Rai). One day they finds Radhika was killed. Rohan experiences ghosts. Later Virag also dies because of the ghosts. Jhilmil tries to escape from the building with her son. But ghosts attacks on her. She hits a peepal tree with her car. Because of the car hit, car and peepal tree burns. All the ghosts which are staying on the tree also burns. But Jhilmil notices later, her son was died because of the ghosts.

Sushmita Sen gave really excellent performance. Rajpal Yadav has acted as mad guy.

Kucch To Hai

Kucch To Hai is horror film from Anurag Basu. Movie starred Esha Deol, Tusshar Kapoor and Nataasha in lead roles. Jeetendra and Moon Moon Sen gave cameo appearances. Anurag Basu was inspired by some Hollywood movies while writing this movie script.

Tashu (Nataasha) and Karan (Tusshar Kapoor) are students in a college. One they finds a new student Tanaya(Esha Deol) cheating in examination. Tashu, Tanya and Karan goes to a professor's house for question papers. But there they finds a dead body and runs away with fear. While they are running out professor follows them. They accidentally hits him with car and he dies.

All the students goes to different places to protect their lives from police. Later they reunites after many years. But some body kills one by one.

Anurag basu came with perfect script but not with perfect actors. Other wise it must be a historical hit. Esha Deol and Tusshar Kapoor gave very poor performance.

Darling

Darling was a horror movie which was directed by Ram Gopal Varma. He is an expert in scaring people with sounds. He used the same technique in this movie also. Isha Koppikar and Fardeen Khan were paired opposite each other.


Aditya (Fardeen Khan) is a business man, who has an affair with his secretary Geeta Menon (Esha Deol). Geetha fights with Aditya when he marries another girl Ashwini (Isha Koppikar) but Aditya convinces her. One day Aditya kills Geeta when she tells him about her pregnancy.

Geeta goes to Aditya's house as a ghost to take revenge on Aditya. Only Aditya is able to see this ghost. His wife suspects his strange behavior. At last Geeta's soul enters into Ashwini's body.

Himesh Reshammiya and Pritam gave music to this film. Esha Deol gave a good performance in two phases of her character as a ghost and as a wild girl.

Darna Zaroori Hai

Ram Gopal Varma is one of the great honest person in India because he sincerely agrees to his failures. He scolds his bad movies publicly. But he never learns a lesson from his failures. Darna Zaroori Hai is the best example for that. This is a sequel for an utter flop movie Darna Mana Hai.






Like Darna Mana Hai, this movie also has different horror stories combined into a single story. An old lady tells horror stories to five children. She tells five different stories. At the end of the last story we find all the children were died. Amitabh Bachchan acted in this film without taking remuneration.




This movie also has a big list of cast- Ritesh Deshmukh, Mallika Sherawat, Anil Kapoor, Sunil Shetty, Sonali Kulakarni, Bipasha Basu, Randeep Hooda, Mohit Ahlawat and Nisha Kothari.

Darna Mana Hai

This movie was an adventure of Ram Gopal Varma. Every one appreciated his dare to give different movies to people. Darna Mana Hai was directed by Prawal Raman and produced by Ram Gopal Varma. This movie has a huge star cast.



This is a very different and fresh concept in horror genre. Six horror stories are combined with another story. Six friends go into a deep forest and forget the route. They stay in an old building. For time pass each of them tell a horror story.




First story is about a couple Karan (Sohail Khan) and (Antara Mali) who travel through a forest. Anjali watches somebody killing her husband while he is repairing the car. But later he returns back and starts driving. Later realizes himself that he is a ghost.



Second story is about Anil (Saif Ali Khan) who is going to Mumbai, on the way stops at a hotel. Hotel owner takes him into a room and shows some dead bodies who died because of smoking. Later Anil starts doing the same job at the same hotel. We realise he was dead because of the hotel owner who is also a ghost.



Third story is about a school teacher who kills his student. That student's soul takes revenge on him by entering into another student's body.



Fourth was about a housewife (Shilpa Shetty) who purchases an apple from a mysterious person. Next day morning she finds all the people who ate it were converted into apples.



In fifth story John (Nana Patekar) asks for lift in a car. He starts a foolish conversation to scare the car owner Amar (Vivek Oberoi). After finding Amar is a ghost he dies out of fear.

Final story was about a selfish guy Purab (Aftab Shivdasani) who misuses his power on an innocent girl Abhilasha (Isha Koppikar).



After completion of all stories one anonymous person enters into this gang and kills all the people while saying some horror story. Only Shruti (Sameera Reddy) manages to escape. Next day morning she finds her dead body with her friends' dead bodies.

Raat

Bollywood number one director Ram Gopal Varma's first straight film in Bollywood is Raat. In 1992 it was a very new concept in Bollywood. This movie was not a good success at Box Office but gave new hopes and thoughts to Indian directors. Ram moved this film with a different screenplay.



Story completely revolves around Manisha Sharma aka Mini (Revati). She is a college going girl. She moves to a new house with her parents. They don't know anything about the house. Their neighbour reveals the truth taht a couple died in that house years back. The lady's soul enters into Mini's body. Then on it's words she behaves very strangely. She won't know what is happening to her. Her boyfriend and her mother consult a magician (Om Puri) to cure her. With his effort Mini becomes normal.




Varma released this movie in Tollywood also. He gave a new style to horror movies with this movie. Without showing the ghost he scared the audience with sounds only. Madhur Bandarkar and Tollywood director Krishna Vamsi worked as assistant directors for this film. Mani Sharma who is a top music director in Telugu has made his debut with this film. Teja who is a famous director in Telugu worked as a camera man for this film.

Agyaat

Ram Gopal Varma is directing a movie named Agyaat in Hindi and the same movie Agnaat in Telugu. Varma was inspired by the Hollywood movie Predator. Based on the story in Predator, Varma wrote his script. Predator is a horror movie and Arnold Schwarznegger starred in that.



One group of people goes to the forest and after entering into the forest one by one they will die. A mysterious personality kills these people. They fail to identify whether that is man or an animal.

Arnold Schwarznegger in PredatorRam Gopal Varma is concentrating on this movie to make it a blockbuster. In Hollywood graphics were also one important reason for the movie's success. But Ram Gopal Varma never depends upon graphics. That is a movie which came decades back. We will find it unnatural if all the scenes in the movie were shot similarly. This is a sure test for Ramu's original talent.

Nitin Kumar Reddy
Nitin Kumar Reddy is the Telugu guy playing the lead role opposite Nisha Kothari in this movie. Ram Gopal Varma after bad disasters like Phoonk and Contract failed to get producers also in Bollywood for his next film Rann. So the audience is expecting he will make this film a sure hit.

Bhoot

Ram Gopal Varma was fresh from a series of successful hits when he was filming this movie. Following the hit films like Jungle, Company, Darna Mana Hai, Ram Gopal Varma worked on this film. Varma mixed crime and thrill in this horror story.

Bhoot starts with a couple Swati (Urmila Matondkar) and Vishal (Ajay Devgan) who are in search of a home. They finds a flat on the 12th floor of an apartment building. After moving into that apartment, Swati comes to know that a woman comitted sucide in that apartment through her the neighbours.

Swati experiences many scary things which almost makes her mad. Vishal consults a psychiatrist Dr Rajan (Victor Banerjee) and one of their well wishers calls an exorcist (Rekha). They declare that some soul has entered Swati's body.


One day they find the watchman of that apartment was killed by somebody. Vishal meets the mother of that woman who killed herself in that flat. When the soul inside Swati watches her she reveals all the truth. Her neighbour Sanjay (Fardeen Khan) forced her to spent a night with him and she would have jumped from the balcony to protect herself. Sanjay and the watchman throw her son from the balcony who would've watched his mother's death.

She also reveals she killed the watchman with the help of Swati's body and would be planning to kill Sanjay. With the request of her mother she leaves Swati body. But kills Sanjay in jail who is arrested by Inspector Liaqat (Nana Patekar).

Ram Gopal Varma's received the Bollywood Award for Best Director. He was also nominated for the Filmfare. Urmila Matondkar gave her career's best performance in this movie and Rekha was justified for her role. All the remaining characters - Ajay Devgan, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar gave good performances.

Phoonk

After Darna Zaroori Hai, Ram Gopal Varma once again came out with the horror movie Phoonk. This time he used black magic as the main theme. Varma knows how to scare people with sounds and lonely places and silent scenes. But he kept away from all those things in this movie.

He concentrated on two things. One is black magic and the second about the people who don't believe in black magic, which was refelcted by the two leads in the movie.


Rajiv (Sudeep) is a successful contractor and an atheist with a good family, a beautiful wife, a daughter and a son. He never believes in God, ghosts and evil. But later struggles with the evil and depends on God and magicians. With this character the director justifies his tag line Its a Superstition Until It Happens To You.

One of Rajiv's business rival Anshuman (Kenny Desai seen in Black) and his wife Madhu (Ashwini Kalsekar) wants to destroy Rajiv's family. Madhu applies black magic on Rajiv's daughter. Rajiv thinks that it is a disease but later realises it is not and tries to protect his daughter.


Ram Gopal Varma failed to handle this horror flick. He took a wrong step in the story line and could not connect the two aspects of the story. No one expects this type of movie from Varma in the horror genre. Music director Amar Mohile tried his best to give life to movie. Camera work by Savita Singh in the movie is incredible.

Kannada Chocolate Boy Sudeep played a lead role as Rajiv and was impressive. Ahsaas Channa as daughter of Rajiv gave a good performance for her age. All the remaining characters are okay. But Ashwini Kalsekar fame of Aashiq Banaya Aapne is very bad with most of the people finding her annoying.
