Paheli
Shah Rukh Khan featured as a ghost in Paheli. Most of the movie revolves around a ghost but instead of scaring scenes director took a love story between that ghost and a married girl. Shah Rukh's wife Gauri Khan produced this movie on their Red Chillies Entertainment. Amol Parekar was the director for this movie.
A jealous girl Lachchachi (Rani Mukherji) marries a rich person Bhanwarlal (Anupam Kher)'s son Kishen (Shah Rukh Khan). He dreams that she will be happy for the rest of life.
But her husband leaves her and their home on a business trip for five years. After he leaves the home a ghost enters into that house with Kishen's shape and voice. He reveals about his true identity after some days. But Lachachi accepts the ghost because of it's love.
Real Kishen returns back before the five years. He is shocked after knowing that his wife is pregnant because of a ghost. He consults shepherd (Amitabh Bachchan). Shepherd imprisons the ghost. But that ghost escapes from the bottle and occupies Kishen's body. He spends a happy life with Lachachi.
Juhi Chawla and Sunil Shetty also featured in this movie for some scenes. It was screened at the Zimbabwe International film festival, Harare. And also screened in Sundance Film festival and Palm Springs International Film Festival. Naseeruddin Shah gave voice over for this film. M.M Kreem aka M.M. Keeravani gave music. Beautiful locations in Rajasthan like Jaipur and Jaisalmeer gave different look and feel.
